Welcome to Top End Hire Services, from Darren and Duncan – The Directors of Top End Hire.
In 1995 we established Top End Hire Service which today forms the centerpiece of the Top End Group. Our head office is in Palmerston, and Top End Hire Services is the largest of the group’s five business units, specialising in the hire and supply of a wide variety of plant and equipment.
Together we established the business to meet the needs of both the commercial and domestic hire sectors. From major construction, mining, civil engineering and Local Government clients, through to small construction/contracting companies and weekend home handymen and women, Top End Hire Services caters for clients both large and small.
Right from the outset our primary goal was to create a "One Stop Shop" to service the Top End. From small tools and general hire items, through to large construction and earthmoving equipment, our aim is provide our clients with easy access to a full range of high quality, well maintained plant and equipment, regardless of their location.
In recent years Top End Hire Services have been preferred suppliers for a number of major projects throughout the Top End, including the multi-million dollar Bechtel LNG Plant and the Alcan G3 project, as well as the Darwin Waterfront development, Royal Darwin Hospital project and numerous major mine development and expansion projects.
We have always focused on Quality and Service because the quality of the equipment and maintenance procedures are also major contributing factors in the Group’s success.
With so many of our customers in remote locations, we simply can't afford to have poor quality or poorly maintained equipment. More often than not, our hire equipment ends up working under extremely harsh conditions. This factor combined with the remoteness of many of our clients’ locations means there’s no room for mistakes. Non-functioning or poor quality equipment can prove extremely costly for all concerned.
We've always placed a significant emphasis on ensuring that the equipment in our fleet is not only tough enough to withstand the rigors of working in these harsh environments, but also that it’s properly maintained and fully-operational when it’s delivered to the client’s site – every time, without exception.
Perhaps most importantly, in the event of an equipment malfunction or breakdown, we have the field resources and spare parts available to ensure that repairs are made in the shortest possible timeframe. This not only helps to minimize downtime for you our customer, it also ensures that our clients get maximum productivity from every piece of equipment.
With prime movers and floats, tiltrays, crane trucks, utes and dedicated service vehicles we commit to servicing our customer base wherever you are in the North of Australia.
